The twelfth edition of the International Peace Festival organized by the Cultural Association, United Artists for Peace, will be held in the city of peace par excellence, from the 15th to the 23rd September.
The festival intends to contribute to promoting the themes of the culture of Peace, solidarity and ecology in full respect for social, political and religious differences, through cultural and artistic events and through national and international musical performances.
The participants will attend conferences, debates and round tables but they will also enjoy plays and ballet performances. Since 2001 the Festival includes an “Ecological Weekend”, an event that promotes Environmental and Food Education with a view to protecting public health and the environment.
Since 2002, an “Ecological Walk” on Mount Subasio has been introduced as part of the Ecological Weekend, aimed at raising people’s awareness of the need to defend the environment and enhance the territory.
